Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality & Food Technologist to work alongside our production team at our Timaru manufacturing facility. This laboratory-based role is ideal for recent graduates eager to launch their careers or experienced professionals ready to bring their expertise. You will have the opportunity to ensure the quality and safety of our food products, conduct tests and analysis, and implement quality control measures to meet industry standards.

Hours of Work:

Thursday and Friday: 9:30am to 6pm

Saturday and Sunday 6am to 6pm

Key Duties

  • Conducting regular inspections and tests on raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance procedures.
  • Monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues.
  • Training staff on proper food safety practices.

About You

  • 1-2 years' experience in a laboratory within the Food Production Industry
  • Strong knowledge of food science and technology / HACCP protocols
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Have the right to work in New Zealand

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
  • Certification in HACCP or Food Safety would be advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and support to learn the ins and outs of production operations. This role offers a fantastic chance for individuals eager to launch their career in the manufacturing industry or for seasoned operators seeking a more technical and engaging challenge.

The position operates within a 24/7 environment, following a rotating shift schedule: 4 consecutive night shifts from 6 pm to 6 am, followed by 4 days off. As a vital member of a small, close-knit team, your reliability will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the plant.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
